Weekly Waffle #276

I’m going to start this week by saying that despite what Tesco may have said I hope none of you found yourselves on the naughty list and that Farther Christmas has added to your hobby dilemmas for next year.  For all of us I’m sure this has been a very different Christmas, I’ve got friends who have been working and will be tucking into a meal today. Whilst for others their world has been turned upside down this year and they just want to get to the end of the year in one piece. For me it’s been a roller coaster of a year with some very good highs and some very low lows, but I’m trying to look on the positive side. The girlfriend moved in with me, we acquired a cat, I’ve managed to get some good projects finished this year and I’m looking forward to being more productive next year.

I have got a few things lined up for next year with ideas on how to do some projects I’ve been putting off for a long time. The plan is to just get stuck in and see how they turn out, if they work that’s great and if they don’t’ then it really isn’t the end of the world is it. I’ll learn more from what didn’t go well than I will from what did go well. But I am going to stop being afraid they won’t work and putting them If this year has taught me anything that if you put things off for too long you may not get the chance to ever do them.

Hobby wise this week I haven’t done a lot but I have managed to clean up and prep the 75mm Silencer Bane or at least most of him. I still need to add the Barret type rifle for his back, but his give you a good idea of what the model looks like. The M14 in his hands is just dry fit at the moment as I wanted to have better access when I start painting him.

Anyway that’s it for this year. I hope you all had a good Christmas and look forward to catching you all again next week when the plan is to have a bit of a retrospective and look back on some of the projects from the year. Keep safe and see you all again soon.
