I have to say that I am in full on envy mode for this week’s weekly waffle, looking at all the pictures that are coming out of Adepticon. With more from google showing me what we got up to last year. From the time in Chicago before the event and what has now become a tradition of visiting Giordano’s for a deep pan pizza to watching Al get the hottest sauce he can on his chicken wings, whilst the rest of us think ranch is hot. This week has been another mixed bag with me getting quite a lot done although I don’t have lots of pictures to share with you on this weeks weekly waffle. Some but not a lot. First off this week was that I managed to make it to game night although I didn’t actually get a game, but it did act as cheer leader for some Necromunda action. Explain the games. On the hobby front I’ve made a bit more progress on my barbarian with the leather sections now complete along with the turquoise cloth sections. Adepticon 2018 Review
Well then as promised this weekly waffle is going to be a lookback at our trip to Adepticon this year but my idea is to give you a run down on the whole trip from start to finish. So I’ve been back form Adeptecon for a few days now and having booked the rest of the week off I haven’t needed to go back into work yet. Adepticon Update #2
Friday: Adepticon Day 2 For me most of the day was taken up with seminars. An early start gave me three and half hours in a class run by Caleb Wessenback from CK Studios all about painting black and white. Quite a long course but it absolutely flow by. I’m gong to do more of in-depth update once I get back but the basics of it were all about understanding tonal values and how to apply them on the mini which once we got started really made sense and I picked the basics up without much problem. The Road to Adepticon 2018 #3
This is going to be the final road to Adepticon update before the event because at the time this update should go live all things being well we will be at Heathrow waiting for the big silver bird to fly us over the pond to America. Ok then it might not be silver and it might not be bird but we should all be booked in and ready for off. No game night for this weeks weekly waffle which is happen as well as I’ve needed the time to sort out all the final bits and pieces ahead of next week’s little jaunt across the pond. Well to be precise it actually starts tomorrow but that was just so that we could save some money on the train fair.
