Weekly Waffle #407 – The Year of the Brush: A 2025 Weekly Waffle Retrospective
Weekly Waffle #407 – The Year of the Brush: A 2025 Weekly Waffle Retrospective 10th January 2026 Welcome to 2026 and for this week’s TerminatorTids weekly waffle I am going to start the year off with a wrap up of 2025. It’s been a year of soaring highs, questionable paint choices, and a fair bit of “waffling” about everything from the price of plastic to the best way to paint a bird of prey. If 2024 was about finding the mojo, 2025 was the year I allowed it to trickle out across the pitch, the tabletop, and even the skatepark. Pull up a chair, grab a brew, and let’s dive…
Weekly Waffle #377 – Femme Fatale
Weekly Waffle #377 – Femme Fatal 10th May 2025 For this week’s weekly waffle I’ve stayed within the Infinity universe but I have upped the points count somewhat. I have switched from the rank and file to one of the more esoteric characters within the Yu Jing Empire. On this week’S weekly waffle I bring you the Dragon Lady. The Dragon Lady is an Imperial Service Judge. Imperial systems device judges are senior imperial functionaries, both reared and respected for their social positions and influence. Similar to that of a mid to high ranking Yu Jing Party Member. Be careful of this femme fatale, for she will devour you. Now…
Weekly Waffle #376 – I am the law
Weekly Waffle #376 – I am the law 26th April 2025 For this week’s weekly waffle I’ve stayed in the Infinity universe, simply because I’m enjoying my painting time and didn’t want to mix things up and disrupt the mojo. And I’ve stayed with my Yu Jing, but I have gone with a unit that fit’s squarely in a sectorial force. So much so it would probably be a lynch pin type unit in such a force. To go along with a hobby update on how this unit made its way to the table top I have also tasked the hackers to spend some time trawling the interwebs again to…
Weekly Waffle #375 – Soldiers of the Empire
Weekly Waffle #375 – Soldiers of the Empire 19th April 2025 For this week’s Weekly Waffle I am staying in the Infinity universe and I’m also going to try and share some of the combined knowledge of the interwebs with you. Carrying on from last week I have trawling all sorts of sources and trying to understand how some of the minis I’ve been painting actually get used on the table top. And I am still hoping that some of these will actually see the light of day at some point this year. Allowing them to escape from the foam confines of their KR case. I wanted to understand how…
Weekly Waffle #374 – I counted them all out
Weekly Waffle #374 – I counted them all out
Weekly Waffle #373 – Rocket Man
Weekly Waffle #373 – Rocket Man 5th April 2025 So, for this week’s Weekly Waffle I’ve got some of my mojo back by switching up what I’ve been painting. I’ve switched gears again and gone back to painting up some Infinity miniatures. This was mainly because I follow Covus Belli on them their socials and they have announced some new Yu Jing models, and they look very nice. They are all specifically for the Imperial Service which means they can be fielded as a sectoral force or as part of a wider one. The releases will consist of a new Action Pack, a new police TAG and then a character…
Weekly Waffle #367 – Champion
Weekly Waffle #367 – Champion 15th February 2025 In this week’s Weekly Waffle I have continued to work on my Leagues of Votann characters. This time going with the Einhyr Champion. I’ve kept the formula the same by starting with the airbrush and then switching to the brush. The big difference, or at least it felt like a big difference when I was painting it, was the overwhelming amount of orange. On the Kahl and the Prospectors the orange armour parts were offset by the dark grey clothing. But this guy is nearly all armour so you don’t get that relief. I do think the base helps to offset things…
Weekly Waffle #364 – Looking Invincible
Weekly Waffle #364 – Looking Invincible 25th January 2025 For this week’s weekly waffle I have jumped back on the Infinity band wagon. I have lost a bit of my mojo in this space because I’m still dealing with the lost minis I was telling you about before Christmas. Royal Mail have admitted to me they have delivered them to the wrong address but I’m now caught between a rock and hard place with the shop because Royal Mail are telling them they have delivered them. That means I’m currently out of pocket and have no minis. Well no minis isn’t quite right but the irony is that minis that…
Weekly Waffle #361 – Retrospective
Weekly Waffle #361 – Retrospective 4th January 2025 For this week’s Weekly Waffle I’m starting by having a bit of a look back on last year. Then I’ll lay out what I have planned for the rest of the year. I’m going to start by summing up last year as a hobby success. Now I will clarify that a little bit by saying that I’m not defining that success on quantity or quality. But rather on consistency. I managed to bring you a newly painted mini for every update. That doesn’t quite mean every week because I had a few trips where I deliberately didn’t do a post on the…
Weekly Waffle #360 – The art of stealth
Weekly Waffle #360 – The art of stealth 21st December 2024 This week has seen the end of the evaluation phase of the project at work so I’m hoping to get a little bit of time back so that I can do a little bit more hobby. So this week’s weekly waffle has managed to keep the run going of having a new mini fully painted to show you, and yes it is an Infinity miniatures. I do tend to through myself into something and then run with it for a while until jumping over to something else. I’m hoping to stick with a combination of infinity and ork’s for…
