Adepticon Update #3
I now have my first full day under my belt and I have to say I’m really enjoying the whole experience. When we were here just after Covid everything felt a little subdued but this year feels like it is back to normal. I had a full on day of seminars yesterday and feel like I have learned a lot but I will have to actually put that into practice once I get home. It’s easy to sit through a class up it’s a whole other thing to put it into practice.
In the evening we had a few beers before going to the Trapped Under Plastic event which was really good. As well as Jon and Scott the also had the legend that is Vince up front answering questions from us mortals. The great thing about this though is that you will actually be able to watch it once it comes out on YouTube. Not quite the same as being there but I’m going to say it will be well worth your time.
As I’m typing this it’s Friday morning and I don’t have anything arranged until this afternoon so I have had a little bit of time to look round the vendor hall. One of the things I was looking for was some interesting models that I thought would be fun to paint. And I found them at Wyrm Forge miniatures. Pete had picked a set up yesterday and showed me where they were. I have picked up two box sets which I can only describe as Star Wars D&D figures. They are absolutely fantastic and it’s going to be a real effort not to go back and buy more before the event is over. In fact it’s going to be really hard not go back today.
Anyway I have lots of things I want to have a look at so I’m going to sign off there for today and I will be back at some time tomorrow with another update. Until then keep safe and have some fun.
