Adepticon Update #2
Ok then so this one is only going to b e a short update because it’s only covering arriving at the venue and spending a lot of time in queues of one form or another. The thing I like the least about the whole Adepticon experience is the queueing to get your ticket. It has to be done so for me it is better to get it out of the way as soon as possible. Which meant on Wednesday evening before the games workshop preview event. It took about an hour and half all told to work our way through the queue and pick up our badge, and for me to pick up my swag bag. More on the bag later.
We then had time for pint before joining the queue for the GW preview event. This was absolutely packed with people cheering at everything. I have to say not really playing any GW stuff at the moment there wasn’t a lot that really interested me. The main theme was the announcement of a new version of AOS and how the story was changing. Considering I don’t play I would say it looks interesting for those that do. Lots of new minis and lots of development in the story so I think AOS players are in for a treat.
There are two new Chaos Marine boxes coming out and these also look interesting with different play styles for each one. Not my cup of tea but they do look nice. A new Kill Team box is on the way and there were some teasers about something new for Necromunda. Now this could be of really interest to me. But nothing more than a teas so far.
And that was it for the Wednesday at Adepticon. Thursday is the first full day and is also my busiest with seminars sot it will be full on for me. Then I have less and less as the weekend pans out which I’m hoping will let me get a better feel for everything else that is going on.
So until tomorrow enjoy whatever you are up to and I hope to catch you all again tomorrow.
