No gaming for me this weeks weekly waffle with no D&D session and me missing game night because of work commitments. Although on a positive note I shouldn’t have any evening work now for a while so should be ok for next week and I might feel a little bit more alive and wanting to get some painting done. Instead of sitting there and slipping into a mild vegetative state.
On the D&D front Anna our DM has been producing some resources to go on the World Anvil web site for other DM’s to use. I’ve been working on producing some maps and floor plans to support the creations she has bene coming up and I’ve also started to play around with some 3D map building software. Still early doors on this front it’s very promising. A steep learning curve but could allow me to produce something a bit different.
That has meant that on the hobby front it’s been full speed ahead trying to get the Reavers finished and I have to say that I’ve cheated a bit to bring you this update. What I’ve done is ignored all the different options I’ve created for myself and concentrated on just getting enough painted to field them without any options. So where I’ve made it so that I swap between four carapace I’ve only actually finished two of them. Likewise whilst I have four weapon options I’ve only fully finished four of them. Don’t get me wrong I could still field all of the other options and most people would only tell if they had a proper close look. But I know they are not right and I need a little bit more time to get them finished. So to try and keep me moving along here we have two completed Reavers.
As for the bits that I still need to finish you can see from the pictures below that they are nearly done so it’s not like they are going to sit there and never get finished. It’s just the last little bits of detail and then a lick of varnish to finish things off.
An interesting one game up on our gaming group yesterday that I though was well worth sharing with if you play Titanicus and it relates to storage and transport options. Some what I think are reasonably priced custom foam trays for you models. There seems to be quite a range to cover everything from your Warlords right down to your knights and everything in-between. I think it may be a solution for me I just don’t know which options to go with but you can have a look for yourselves here.
That’s if for this week. I’m not sure what I’m going to be working on for next week. I’ve already built the knights so I could start work on painting them or I could start work on building the Warlord. You never know I may get really ambitious and do a bit of both. Anyway that’s it for this, hope you all have a great week and will catch up with you all again next week.
