Not a big update for you this week. As I mentioned last week it was a friends birthday last Saturday and it was a really good night. The hobby result of that was that I wasn’t in the best of conditions on Sunday to get much painting completed. Although it’s fair to say that I wasn’t suffering anywhere near as much as the Birthday girl, I don’t thin she surfaced for a few days. It’s also been a really busy week at work again with lots of traveling, which is set to run right up to Christmas. Having said that I have been able to get some work done so I’ve been concentrating on getting the details and edge highlights done on the wings. I’m about ninety percent there and as soon as they are done it will be on to the body and then tail.
I’ve done some work on the tail already so I’m hopeful I will be able to get the details done on both of these sections. So that’s the goal for next week. Then it will be a combination of the final highlights and weathering to finish things off. I’m hopeful that I will be able to get all of this finished in time for Christmas, and that’s this Christmas. Although I’m going to hold out on whether or not I will have the bombs painted up by then. The main reason for that is because I haven’t decided how I want to paint them yet. I know that for the big bombs I want to have something a bit different for each and once I figure out what to do I don’t think they will take long. It’s the figuring out what to do that takes the time.
