It’s been a really weird week for me this week. I’ve had a couple of weeks off work which whilst really nice at the time made this week chaos. Lots to catch up on and then my boss was off for a few days so I that gave me a bit more to do. So what I’m really saying is that I haven’t got a great deal of hobby in this week, and I’ve not picked up a paint brush at all. So what have I actually been up to.
Following on from our D&D session last week I offered to do some work for Anna who is our DM. That was to map out a city that we may be traveling to in the not to distant future. But having said that I would do it I then felt a bit pressured to try and get it done for this week’s session. Which I didn’t quite manage but I have manged to do about 95% of it. All of it digital so if changes are needed once I hand it over that will be a lot easier. The key thing with though is that it’s very time consuming so it’s eaten up a lot of time. I’ve also offered to do more of these, although with a bit more of a lead time to help spread some the load. Anna puts a massive amount of effort into planning our adventures so anything I can do to help can free her up to find new ways to kill us.
The other D&D related thing I’ve been working on, and again not quite completing, has been the design for our new tinkers waggon. I’ve been through about a dozen version of this so I’ve been able to provide the layout so we know what we are getting. What I still need to do is to tidy up all of the drawings with cross sections and the like. Should be finished in another week and I’ll be able to share them with you once they are done.
On the D&D front we got the full gang back together for this weeks session. We spent some time finalising the design of our waggon and getting it kitted out with all the things that we may need going forward. These are the boring practical things such as pots and pans, bedding and some tools. Orrakk met up with some traveling bards who Thessaly know and one of them told him about some gold in an abandoned mansion in the town. He went off to investigate on his own before the rest of us managed to track him down. We then searched the building like of the of the most paranoid groups in history and all we found was an arcane circle on the floor of a room in the cellar. Back at the tavern Orrakks contact indicated that the gold may be on the other side of the circle so we ended up going back and stepping through the circle. On the other side was a cave full of gold. The only issue was that everything was covered in a couple of feet of ice. And that is where we ended the session.
That’s it for this week. No pictures for you but I will get some for you next week. I’m putting the drawing to one side this week and my aim is to get some work on finishing my Eshear for Necromunda. So a very short updated this week. I hope you all have a good week and have a fuller update for you next week.
