Dystopian Wars – Russian Coalition

The Russian Coalition is one of the greatest powers on earth. Its ruler commands the people, wealth and resources of over a sixth of the world’s entire landmass. And yet, still it is not enough for him. Within the game the Russian Coalition are like street brawlers and work best when they get up close and personal. They have relatively short ranged weapons, although they are devastating when you do get them into range. And to help you close on the enemy they have some of the heaviest armour in the game.

Russian Coalition-1

Here we have the undisputed king of the Russian Fleet, a Moskva Class Dreadnought. In battle the mighty Moskva Class Dreadnought charges onward, all but immune to enemy shell-fire, hell bent on bringing its colossal smoothbore guns to bear on any enemy foolish enough to get in its way.

Russian Coalition-3

Then we have the Khatanga Class Heavy Battleship, formally classed as an Ice Breaker. The drill-ram on the Khatanga Class has proved as effective at demolishing enemy ships as shattering the thick ice sheets of the White Sea.

Russian Coalition-8

Also up there with the heavy hitters is the Dudinka Class Assault Carrier, which has been a recent development for the White Navy, sacrificing hanger capacity to carry and array of weapons suitable for long range bombardments. Dudinkas normally provide fire support , hanging back and softening up the enemy while other Russian heavy ships race forward to engage at close ranges. The broadside batteries of 6″ guns are intended mainly for defence, while the tow sponson mounted Petrovich rocket mortar arrays are designed to shower the enemy with clusters of have warheads, causing significant disruption.

 Russian Coalition-5

Here we have the Borodino Class Battleship. The raw power and aggression of the naval ships of the Russian Coalition is evident in both the ships design and the battle tactics it employs. The hammer blow gunnery of a monumental Borodino Battleship is enough to pound any foe into submission.

Russian Coalition-10

Backing up the heavy weights we have the Azov Class Battle Cruiser. The Azov is about as subtle as a slap in the face with a wet fish. And it’s fair to say that when this vessel decides to slap an enemy they know they’ve been hit. The two primary turrets kick out massive amount of firepower at close range and when coupled with a solid broadside it’s fair to say that the Azov means business.

Russian Coalition-18

The backbone of any Russian Coalition battle fleet is the mighty Tambov Class Gunships. They lead the charge onward, all but immune to enemy shell-fire, hell-bent on closing with the enemy and bringing their colossal guns to bear.

Russian Coalition-12

The Tiksi Class Support Cruiser with its great mortars has proved as effective at demolishing enemy ships as shattering the thick ice sheets of the White Sea.

Russian Coalition-15

The hammer-blow gunnery of the lethal Suvorov Cruiser is enough to pound any foe into submission.

Russian Coalition-28

Nimble Rostov Class Destroyers nip and pick at the enemy, driving them towards the gaping maw of Tsarist firepower.

 Russian Coalition-23

The Nikel Class Heavy Frigate with its great mortars has proved as effective at demolishing enemy ships as shattering the thick ice sheets of the White Sea.

Russian Coalition-27

The Novgorod Class Frigate operates in a radically different fashion to the majority of frigates around the world, boasting a curious circular hull that affords it unmatched manoeuvrability.

Russian Coalition-33

These Corvettes are all about finishing off the kill. The larger Russian vessels smash an enemy, and the Kazimov Corvettes then close in to ‘end the lives’ of anyone left alive.
