Weekly Waffle #179
No gaming for me for this weeks weekly waffle#Post Title | #Site Title #Post Title | #Site Title . Tuesday night is our usual gaming night and it just so happened to coincide with a day of strike action by Northern Rail on a day I needed to travel to Newcastle. Needless to say I never actually made it as far as Newcastle but still spent all day waiting for delayed replacement bus services or delayed replacement timetable trains. None of which were on time and most of which were actually cancelled. All of which meant that by the time I finally got home I just couldn’t be bothered moving. So…

Ok where do I start this week’s weekly waffle? It seems like all my plans have gone out of the window and I’ve headed of on down untrodden path. Well maybe not that untrodden but unused for some time. I’ve come over all 40k this week and I’ve spent just about all of my hobby time working on the Looted Primarus Redempter Dreadnought project, which has turned into something of a monster. In true orky fashion it has been christened with blood from a couple of carless cuts but it all adds to the character and should make it faster before I’ve even got round to painting it. Once I…

It’s been a more productive week for this weeks weekly waffle although Sunday was an absolute disaster. Having not had a beer for eight weeks I went out on Saturday night and suffered for it on Sunday. I’m just got to accept the fact than I’m old and it takes me a long time to recover. But I’ve managed to make some progress this week and I’ve actually enjoyed my hobby time, which should be the main reason for doing it. I’ve moved a few things round this week and also started work on a new conversion project so all in all I think it’s been a good week. So…

I think the only thing I can really say about this week’s weekly waffle is that it’s been something of write off. It started with lots of promise but went rapidly downhill. Saturday night was D&D night and with a reduced party we just decided that it wold be good to go and hunt down a Basilisk, as you do. From my point of view it was about garnering good will to get a ferry to take us up river to avoid a long walk. The good news was that we all survived but Al’s character then tried cutting one of its eyes out, that we really needed, with his…

It’s been such a nice week this week that I haven’t actually spent too much time indoors so the weekly waffle is going to be short. But I have managed to get some gaming and some hobby time in. Saturday saw a return to D&D and we’ve been on the same road now for a couple of months, because it’s been a long time since were all last together. In what is now becoming something of regular event we put our characters that have night vision on watch when it goes dark so that, in theory we may have some chance of a warning if anything untoward were to happen.…

I’m hoping that this week’s weekly waffle will be a more positive update than last week. For a starter this week I have pictures. The problem last week was that I couldn’t find my card reader to get the picture of my camera and my phone had died so I couldn’t use that as a back-up. Any way this week I’ve replaced the card reader, which means the missing one is bound to turn up over the weekend, and my phone has been replaced so I’m back in the game. So with the technicalities sorted what have I been up to this week. First of all I haven’t done any…

No gaming for this weeks weekly waffle and I’ve been back on the road for a few days so haven’t spent much time working on either Wild West Exodus or Necromunda but I have managed to do a few things on the hobby front. First of all the ATV I had ordered turned up so I’ve been putting that together which has been something of a learning curve. Because this is a scale model as opposed to a gaming piece the resin used is very hard so that it can provide the level of detail required for this type of model. The result was that I managed to break a…
Weekly Waffle #171
It’s been another slow week for this week’s weekly waffle with not a lot of progress on anything really. There’s been no game night and no D&D so all told it’s been something of a let-down. No particular reason for this it’s just been slow. But it’s not been a total write off. I get the Empire of the Blazing Suns Emissary model for Wild West Exodus this week. This also marks something of land mark as now that War Cradle have taken over and they are ostensibly part of Wayland Games I was not expecting this model to turn up for at least another four or five weeks. So…
Weekly Waffle #170
It’s been something of a slow week this week for the weekly waffle and I’m putting it down to having joined the gym. Not an opening line you would expect to see in a hobby blog but as this is a waffle and it’s my site I can do what I want. Having come back from a week of really rich food at Adepticon I’ve decided that my gamer physic is getting a little bit out of control so I’ve signed up an eight week course at the gym to kick start me into doing a bit more exercise and generally being a bit more healthy. Part of this has…
