It’s been a mad week at work this week so I wasn’t really feeling in the mood when gaming night came around. The plan for the weekly waffle had been to finish off the MERCS game and then have our first game of Frostgrave. So the first part of the plan went well. Game night was back on again for this week’s weekly waffle and I actually get in a couple of games, or finished one and started another to be more precise. Tyler wanted to have a go a Firestorm Armada so I dug out the start scenarios and models so we could give it a go. The result, I got an absolute tubing. No game night for this week’s weekly waffle with Al being off on his jollies so in theory I should have had a bit more hobby time. But work seems to have decided to make me extra busy this week so haven’t go as much done as I would have liked. Although having said that I have managed to get some work done. Gaming for this week’s weekly waffle saw me and Al finish off our Malifaux game and after two nights of gaming we ended up with a draw. The interesting thing for me was that I lost half of my models and didn’t achieve any of the ‘strategies’ for the game but I did manage to pull of two ‘schemes’ which gave me four victory points. Al on the other hand managed to get two ‘strategies’ and one ‘scheme’ which game him four victory points as well, he also wiped out half of my crew, but he doesn’t get anything or that. This week’s weekly waffle actually started on Sunday morning with a six way x-wing game with each of us having 50 points. I was unimaginative and took Outrider and ended up facing off against to Y-666’s from Pete and Corrie, Al had a single E-wing, Stanners had an IG-2000 and Mike had a pair of Y-wings. I had a really good day and managed to get the first kill after Pete had been shot up by everyone else, dashing in to take the glory. Not a particularly long update for this week’s weekly waffle there was no game night this week so I’ve had a little more hobby time. As I seem to have hit something of a road block with my Wild West Exodus I’ve turned back to the world of Wyred this week to finish off my Kaeris Malifaux Crew. I’ve done these a bit about face by finishing the bases before I finished the models themselves. Me and Al had arranged to have a game of Wild West Exodus but that went a bit astray. He’s got the rules through for the tournament he has entered at Adepticon so he wanted to play with these rules. I think I’m still suffering from something of a new year hobby hangover and haven’t managed to get a great deal done this week’s weekly waffle. The Road to Adepticon #3
So another Adepticon update for you this week. With the accommodation and tickets already sorted the only thing we needed to finalise was the flights. Now I have to be honest here I didn’t put myself forward to sort this out but Darren did, and after much toing and froing trying to keep us all happy the flights are now booked.
