Something of a mixed week this week for the weekly waffle with a few things getting in the way of hobby time. Well I managed to make it through January on something of a high but things have slowed down somewhat this week with no gaming at all. Game night was as Al was working and D&D got moved from Friday to today. Now that doesn’t mean I’ve lost any enthusiasm for the year, it’s just that things haven’t lined up for this weeks weekly waffle to get the gaming in. The Road to Adepticon 2018 #2
It’s been a while since I did the last update so I thought it was time I brought you up to date on where we are with this year’s trip. I covered off the fact that we had the hotel booked event tickets secured in the last update. Since then Darren has been a star and booked the flights so we will be flying out on Monday the 19th so we can have a couple of days in Chicago ahead of the event. This weeks weekly waffle I have a treble hit of gaming fun, I know that’s a bit crazy me but that’s just how the week panned out. Game night on Tuesday saw us have an introduction to Gas Lands. Following on from a really enjoyable night of D&D I decided that I couldn’t rely on someone else to bring along a players handbook and that I needed to get my own copy. Another frustrating weekly waffle. Not the best of ways to start a weekly update but I can’t think of any other way of putting it. Nothing major has gone wrong just lots of little niggling things that get in the way of doing something useful and enjoyable. I have managed to get the car fixed, or at least I think it’s fixed, so I’m mobile again. The plan for this weeks weekly waffle had been to get some gaming in on Tuesday night because for the first time in a long time I wasn’t away wit work. That didn’t quite pan out as my car hasn’t been used for some time and when I went to start it, it was just dead. So no gaming done and I’m going to have to figure out what’s wrong with it and try and get it fixed this weekend.
