    Weekly Waffle #209

No D&D adventure update for you this week’s weekly waffle but we do have a session planned for tonight so I’ll something for you on that front next week. But having painted up the dwarves last week I’ve got the bug for painting more characters at the expense of the kill team not making much progress. So I’m going to start the paltry work I have done on the kill team which amounts to little more than getting some colour onto the carapace section of the bodies. Whilst I have to admit it’s not much in the way of progress I’m clinging to the fact that it is at least…

  • Weekly Waffle #207

First full week of the year and it’s been a bit quiet. So for this week’s weekly waffle #Post Title #Site Title #Post Title #Site Title I’m getting back into the groove and whilst I understand that isn’t directly hobby related it has had the side benefit of warring me out so I have to have a sit down when I’ve finished. And I’ve decided that my sit down time will be at workbench and not in front of the TV. So in a roundabout way it’s helping with my hobby time. This week that hobby time has been put into more purely gaming pieces so it’s all about getting something…

  • Weekly Waffle #204

In this week’s weekly waffle it’s nearly time for the big fat man to come climbing down the chimney and if you are really lucky it may actually be Santa with a sack full of presents. I’m just hoping that with our change of IT supplier at work things will calm down a bit in the New Year and I’ll actually get some gaming in. I’m not exactly sure what form that gaming will take but both Necromunda and Kill Team seem like good contenders. I’m also quite keen to try and get Al on board for a dabble at the new Wild West Exodus. Even if it’s not actually…

  • Weekly Waffle #203

I’m going to kick off this weeks weekly waffle with something that’s been missing for the last few weeks and that is a gaming update. You heard it I actually managed to get some gaming in this week. Well it was actually last week but in the world according to the weekly waffle schedule it was this week. I’m confusing myself now so I’ll get on with it. On Sunday we managed to get together for a spot of D&D continuing our adventure and things are getting darker by the day, literally. We managed to complete our contract for the hunter’s hall with everyone intact but one of our party…

  • Weekly Waffle #196

Well the mojo has continued to flow this week’s weekly waffle I have a bit more of a productive update for you rather than just dabbling about and trying something new. It’s one of those things were once you get into the flow of something hobby becomes enjoyable once more and not just a chore. But more on that later as I’m going to start with a D&D update. So we had another good session on Saturday and even had a couple of new characters joining the band. Although we have also lost one for a few months with Tom heading back off to sea, and no that’s not a…

  • Weekly Waffle #193

I was hoping to have a bit of bumper update for you this week’s weekly waffle but the truth is I’ve been really lazy all week and not done a lot of painting. Done a lot of lounging around and reading but not a lot of painting. I’ve also done quite a bit of drawing working out ways to produce city maps for D&D that have multiple options in the way they are built such as rivers and roads, castles and city walls. But first of all I’ll cover what I have done on the painting front. I’ve been working on another stand-alone fantasy model, this time a Dwarf. It’s…

    Weekly Waffle #190

Not a big update for you on this weeks weekly waffle as I’ve been really lazy and done next to nothing all week. I’ve sat on the settee reading and generally just chilling out. I didn’t even move for game night but I did get a bit of hobby done. On the D&D front I managed to survive and I must have been quite drunk the week before as I didn’t remember that I had been stabilised so after spending time with bag full of soil over my head, it’s a long story. They managed to heal me before we got stuck into another big fight were the guy who’s…

  • Weekly Waffle #187

I’m going to start things off for this weeks weekly waffle#Post Title | #Site Title  with a bit of look ahead for a project I’m trying to piece together. As I’ve mentioned on umpteen occasions for me a bit part of the hobby is the fluff that goes along with all the different games I play and none of them have richer pot to pick from than 40K. One of my favourite authors is Dan Abnett. The thing that makes him stand out are the details he puts in about normal, if you can call it that, life in the imperium. You see a lot of this in the Ghosts…
