So once again it’s been a week when I haven’t been able to any gaming in for the weekly waffle but have managed to watch a let’s play for Shadow Games which a board game set in the world of Guild Ball. Well were to start for this weeks weekly waffle, as I mentioned last week I know work was going to start to get a bit manic but I didn’t know it would start as soon as it did. I missed game night this week because I’ve been on the road all week. It’s also meant that I’ve not go very much done this week, just a few hours to work on some Death Watch. For this week’s weekly waffle there was no game night again so a chance to make a start on a new project, or really an extension of what I’ve already been working. I’ve really enjoyed painting up the Deathwatch Kill Team so I decided to carry on and picked up the Deathwatch Cassius Kill Team. I’ve liked these models since the boxed game came out so being able to pick them up as a set of models without the game is great business idea for GW. No game night for this week’s weekly waffle so in theory I’ve had some more time to get some painting in. In reality that’s not turned out quite how I thought it would. Whilst I’ve been working on finishing off my Deathwatch I’ve also started watching Falling Skys on Netflix so I haven’t got as much painting done as I planned. But I have finished watching season one and cracking on with season two at the moment. Weekly Waffle #96
For this weeks weekly waffle game night saw the culmination of our four way Dystopian War game. Although after Corries efforts last week it was now down to a three way game with the Brits now being out of the picture. But his efforts had left the remaining Russian ships with quite a lot of damage, and in the Fleet Action rules every point of damage you are carrying removed one successful dice from you success pool. Warhammer World Road Trip
So as I mentioned in last week’s weekly waffle I’ve had a bit of road trip to warhammer world today and thought I would do a quick update with a bit of a photo dump. For game night for this weeks weekly waffle me and Al had arranged to get some Guild Ball in so that we could get up to speed with the rules before Vengeance on the 14th of May. When I turned up Al was just finishing up a game of ‘40K Kill Team’ using the Space Marines and things weren’t going his way. No game again for this week’s weekly waffle with everyone getting ready for Christmas, although I don’t really know why you need to get ready. Anyway it’s been a bit of lazy week for me on all fronts. I’ve not done any painting and have only managed to get a bit more work done on the stompa scratch build. For this week’s weekly waffle we have been planning and at the weekend a few of us came up with a plan for next year. Nothing special just a way to try and get a few more games in. So we’ve decided that January is going to be Wild West Exodus month, followed by Malifaux in February and then something new for March with Frost Grave. As a bit of inspiration we’ve set up a bit of challenge to have crews painted for everything and to make sure we don’t slack off there is forfeit for anyone who doesn’t have their models ready.
