So for this weeks weekly waffle I’ve found myself in something akin to the gaming doldrums, that’s not because I’ve lost my mojo, far from it, it’s just that work has once again go in the way. So no game night for me this week being stuck in a hotel in sunny Sunderland. So once again it’s been a week when I haven’t been able to any gaming in for the weekly waffle but have managed to watch a let’s play for Shadow Games which a board game set in the world of Guild Ball. It’s been another manic week with work so once again I haven’t had a great deal of time to get any hobby in for the weekly waffle. Having said that I’ve been making steady, if somewhat, slow progress with the Deathwatch. This week I’ve managed to get all the bases painted up and the models mounted so if needed they could be used in a game now. But there are still quite a few details that still need completing. Well were to start for this weeks weekly waffle, as I mentioned last week I know work was going to start to get a bit manic but I didn’t know it would start as soon as it did. I missed game night this week because I’ve been on the road all week. It’s also meant that I’ve not go very much done this week, just a few hours to work on some Death Watch. Sergeant Crooks – Painting Guide
Sergeant Crooks is one of the Baker Street Irregulars who in this twisted setting are the Hench men of the notorious criminal mastermind that is Sherlock Holmes aka the Kingpin. Every devious criminal mastermind needs a man on the force and though Holmes has many in his employ it is Crookes who, more than any, is willing to show his dubious allegiance, standing side-by-side with the Baker Street Irregulars in scuffles. So with all the excitement of last week now over its back to normal for this weeks weekly waffle. With Al back off his jollies game night was back on and Pete brought along Kill Team for us to have a look at. We didn’t actually get chance to have a game as until Pete showed us the rules we didn’t know what we would need. But we have arranged for a few games next week. So todays post marks the centenary of my weekly waffle and to be honest I’m amazed I’ve made it this far. I’ve said before that when I started the site it was really only a way of rekindling the flagging enthusiasm for the hobby I was experiencing at the time. And I have to say it has done the job.
