Weekly Waffle #272

It’s been a slow week this week on the hobby front but having missed some may weeks over the last few months I wanted to make sure I did an update this week. Even if said update isn’t going to be a war and peace edition. Like the last few weeks I’ve had a lot of other things happening so hobby time has been quite limited. But I have made the time to get the Goblins finished and I have to say that I’m really happy with how they turned out. I think it was just the fact that I decided to go with a blue skin tone instead of the classic green that really made a difference. But what do you think?

Having gone down the route of doing something a little bit different with these guys it’s something I would highly recommend to anyone who has found themselves in a bit of a rut. Why not try just picking up any model you have in the ‘to be completed’ pile and try something a bit different. A blue Goblin was my example but what about just painting one marine in the colours of a different chapter. It doesn’t have to be anything profound and in the case of a marine you could go with a successor chapter so you can still use it in your games. I was really surprised and how different it actually felt going with a different colour and will be looking to do more of this in the future.

Unfortunately, that is all I’ve managed to do this week but will be working hard to makes sure I get some time in again next week so that I can bring you another update. But until then I hope you all have a good week, keep safe and hope to catch up with you again soon.
