Weekly Waffle #308 January 22nd 2023 The update is a day late due to some technical issues. Basically I’ve learned that I can’t add a lot of pictures in a single update. I’ve spent quite a bit of time away from home this week so haven’t had a lot of hobby time but I’ve tried to put my time to good use. It’s been something of a weird week so far and whilst I have quite a full update for you I haven’t done any painting at all. That’s not to say I haven’t managed to get in a reasonable amount of hobby time, just that none of it has involved a paint brush. The January mojo is still flowing and I’ve had a good week of hobby. Not put a massive amount of time in but I think I’ve made good use of the time I’ve had. This won’t work for everyone but what I’ve been doing is when the misses wants to watch one of her programs on TV I say I’ll get out of her way and go and do some hobby. I’ve been a bit more organised for this weeks weekly waffle and stolen a bit of time throughout the week to put this week’s update together. Dystopian Wars – Fleet Basing Guide
I can’t find anything in the rules that says you have to base your ships for Dystopian Wars but they do look much nicer on the table top if they are based. It took me a while to get round to basing by fleets but once I found a method that I thought looked ok and was reasonably easy to reproduce there was no stopping me. I’ve mixed things up again for this weeks weekly waffle by shifting back to Dystopian Wars, although I still haven’t managed to the game with Pete finished. This has been something of a bitter sweet weekly waffle. Once again I’ve not had to do much in the way of travel so I’ve managed to get some gaming in, I’ve managed to get some hobby in and I’ve managed to catch up on Game of Thrones.
