Weekly Waffle #127
No gaming for this weeks weekly waffle and no real hobby time. The only thing I’ve had chance to build has been some new desk top storage curtesy of Hobby Zone. I’ve already got a few drawers and a display / storage case so when I was having a bit of reshuffle and clearing out some old paints I decided to pick up a few more pieces. If anyone out there is looking for a modular storage solution I can highly recommend them as the ones I’ve had to date have served me well hence me going out to buy some more. Well were to start for this weeks weekly waffle it’s been another manic week with work and my schedule for next week looks even worse. I just keep reminding myself that I only need to keep things together for another nine weeks and then the pressure starts to lift off. Still busy but not manic, or at least that’s what I’m hoping. So I’ve been back on the road again this week and haven’t really had a lot of time to get anything done for the weekly waffle and once again no gaming. With it being a bank holiday last weekend I was hoping to get some hobby time in but I spent most of t it tidying up the garden and trying to get my car to work. This week’s weekly waffle hasn’t been quite as mad as the last few but I’ve still not managed to get any gaming in. But what I have done is to dig out an old project and make some good progress with it. Inspired by painting up and basing my Russian battle ship I’ve kept things in the world of Dystopian wars and I’ve gone east. Well it’s been a really bad week this week for hobby this weeks weekly waffle. I’ve had family over from France so I’ve been playing nice and spending time with them, which in fairness has been nice and then away again all week. I haven’t been able to get as much done for this week’s weekly waffle as I did last week but I’m still really happy with what I’ve achieved. No gaming due to Al being on his jollies and me working in Walsall. Looks like I get all the exotic locations. Anyway after getting quite a bit done on the fisher men last week I’ve kept the nautical them but switched scales. Guild Ball – Mist Painting Guide
This is a painting guide for the new model for Mist that I picked up through the Locker Room as it had only previously been available as a prize at some Steam Forge events. For me the sculpt is really evocative and much more menacing than the previous version. With that in mind I wanted to move away from the mainly purple that I used on the original version and go with something a bit more natural. I’m going to throw in a bit of shocker this weeks weekly waffle and say that I actually turned up for game night and what’s more I actually got a couple of games in. And just to cap things off I won both, although it was more down to blind luck than any skill on my part.
