  • Weekly Waffle #293

9th April 2022 Well once again I have missed a couple of updates but I’m putting them both down to Adepticon. The first was the Saturday of Adepticon and I had been doing daily updates so I don’t feel to bad about that one. Last weeks was missing because I came back with the conference lurgy and just didn’t have the energy to do an update. I’m still not that well this week but I’m not missing another update so I’m going to fight my way through and give you an update this week. I haven’t really done much in the way of hobby since I’v e been back, because…

  • Day Two

Non metallic metal (NMM) is a complex technique that can become simple if you know how to approach it. I will teach you about the basics and the more in depth. You will learn how to approach light, how to understand the highlights and how to create an convincing NMM effect. Special equipment needed: Bring your own paints (Black, White, Yellow, Blue, Green) and paint brushes (a size 0-1 will be fine).

  • Iyanden Wraiths

    Weekly Waffle #292

This will be the last update before Adepticon so needs to have some packing and prep elements.

  • Weekly Waffle #291

I’ve been sticking with the Iyandan for this week and I’ve made some good progress on the WraithBlades and the Psychers, but I have also taken the time to get some wo l rk in progress pictures along the way. Some of these will help me if I do decide to paint up any more units in the future. If I remember to get enough I may even get around to writing a new painting guide, which is something that I haven’t don for quire some time now. As I have no idea how the different weapons work in game terms i decided to magnetise the arms so that I…

  • Vigilator Squad of the Silent Sisterhood

    Weekly Waffle #285

It’s been back to the grim dark future for me this week, in more ways than one, and I’ve managed to keep the painting up for a whole two months. Ok I know that’s not such a great deal and the actual volume is very low but I’m considering it a win. I’ve managed to turn out quite a variety of different minis, I’ve been happy with all of them and most importantly I’ve actually enjoyed working on them. Which at the end of the day is what this is all about, or at least it is for me. Now before I show you what I’ve been working on this…

  • Weekly Waffle #284

Things have slowed down somewhat this week, but it’s been a time management issue rather than a loss of mojo. It seems to happen more and more at the moment but it’s been a really busy week at work with lots of late nights doing testing. The result has been I’ve only had a couple of hours of hobby time over the whole week which I’ve spent on something a bit different, or at least different for this week. I’ve given you some near future, post-apocalyptic, some Renascence fantasy and this week I’m going to give you a taste of the grim dark future, so prizes for guessing where I’m…
