  • Weekly Waffle #197

I’m going to start this week’s weekly waffle off with a gaming update. Managed to make if for games night this week and we have also started to play some games of Kill Team. We should have started these some time ago but for various reasons the date kept slipping but Pete has put his foot down and we are now rolling. The plan was for Pete to play Mark but as things turned out Pete couldn’t make so I gave my Gene Stealer cult their first outing, and every one of them died. Yep that’s right it was as a completed white wash against Marks Thousand Sons. It didn’t…

  • Weekly Waffle #196

Well the mojo has continued to flow this week’s weekly waffle I have a bit more of a productive update for you rather than just dabbling about and trying something new. It’s one of those things were once you get into the flow of something hobby becomes enjoyable once more and not just a chore. But more on that later as I’m going to start with a D&D update. So we had another good session on Saturday and even had a couple of new characters joining the band. Although we have also lost one for a few months with Tom heading back off to sea, and no that’s not a…

  • Weekly Waffle #194

It’s been another mixed up week this week’s weekly waffle, I’ve had bit of cold so haven’t been in the most enthusiastic of moods. Al’s also been poorly this week so there was no game night which has meant that I haven’t done a great deal, again. However it’s not all doom and gloom. We got another D&D session in on Saturday which saw us back in the ice cave trying to get our hands on some gold. We made very slow work with this one and ended up getting some wild fire potion from the Tinkers which we used in very small amounts to melt sections of the ice…

    Weekly Waffle #190

Not a big update for you on this weeks weekly waffle as I’ve been really lazy and done next to nothing all week. I’ve sat on the settee reading and generally just chilling out. I didn’t even move for game night but I did get a bit of hobby done. On the D&D front I managed to survive and I must have been quite drunk the week before as I didn’t remember that I had been stabilised so after spending time with bag full of soil over my head, it’s a long story. They managed to heal me before we got stuck into another big fight were the guy who’s…

  • Weekly Waffle #188

No game night this week as Al wasn’t available so that was an extra night of hobby time. That hobby time for this weeks weekly waffle has mainly been spend working on my Kill Team seeing as I only have one more week to try get them finished if I’m going to meet our agreed time line. I’ve also spent some time working on the updates to Al’s truck. So I’ve been working on some models for a Genestealer cult which is what was picked for me when we had a blind draw for which war band we would be using. I said a few weeks ago when we had…

  • Weekly Waffle #187

I’m going to start things off for this weeks weekly waffle#Post Title | #Site Title  with a bit of look ahead for a project I’m trying to piece together. As I’ve mentioned on umpteen occasions for me a bit part of the hobby is the fluff that goes along with all the different games I play and none of them have richer pot to pick from than 40K. One of my favourite authors is Dan Abnett. The thing that makes him stand out are the details he puts in about normal, if you can call it that, life in the imperium. You see a lot of this in the Ghosts…

  • Weekly Waffle #186

An interesting if not massively productive week this week so the weekly waffle is correspondingly short. No game night so that freed up Tuesday night and I foolishly went to the Gym, which meant I did three days on the bounce this week and I really felt that by Thursday. So, Thursday night was D&D night and after the precarious position we left things in last week I really thought I would need a new character this week, so much so that I rolled one up just in case. As it turned out my character survived but Tom’s wasn’t so fortunate. If you remember from last week I had locked…

  • Weekly Waffle #185

I’m going to do things out of order for this weeks weekly waffle and start off with games night. We’ve decided that we are all going to do a different Kill Team and then run a bit of campaign. But to add as much variety as we can we are all going to do a different team. I have a few ideas for what I would like to do but someone came up with the idea of it being a random selection. So we put all of the all of the different team into one pot and our names into another. Then it was just a case of picking a…

  • Weekly Waffle #184

I’ve got something of a mixed bag for you this week’s weekly waffle with a bit of a gaming update and few different hobby related updates. Although I don’t think I have as many pictures for you this week. And I’ve decided to do them in chronological order just because I haven’t done that for a while. So first up we have a hobby update but not just any hobby update this hobby update was a group event. As a club we have just got a whole bunch of 40K terrain that will work really well with the recently released Necromunda and the soon to be released 40K Kill Team,…

  • Weekly Waffle #182

I’m going to kick off this week’s weekly waffle with some mixed gaming updates. First up was that I missed game night on Tuesday because I have to go up to Newcastle for work and just couldn’t get back in time so I think we are going to end up having the longest running first game of Necromunda ever. As there is no game night next week it’s going to end up taking four weeks to get through this first game. Fingers crossed subsequent games don’t take quite as long. On the D&D front we’ve actually managed to fit in a couple of games this week but it is with…
