  • Weekly Waffle #226

Well it’s been something of a weird one this week for this weeks weekly waffle. I’m going to start off with the good news that everyone survived our D&D session on Sunday, just. It was essentially part of a battle with an end of level boss and we milked it for all it was worth. Or more accurately we got so much wrong it took forever to finish it. Although there were some very cinematic moments and it literally came to the last blow of the night. As we left things at the end of the last session our arch enemy Malick the necromancer had escaped our grasp and left…

This week weekly waffle I’m putting down as a really good hobby week. Not necessarily a really productive one but I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve done with none of it feeling like a chore. That is until I started trying to writ the waffle for this week. I’ve sat down to type it up and my mind has gone blank and my fingers have stopped working. I was even in two minds about just giving up but I can’t do that so here we go with take two. No gaming this week but we do have a D&D session planned for tomorrow and I’m thinking it’s going to be a…

  • Titanicus Knights

    Weekly Waffle #224

I’m going to start this weeks weekly waffle with a gaming update from what turned out be an epic D&D session on Sunday. For some time now we have been building up to what could be a party ending encounter. An evil cabal have a continent spanning ritual underway and we are trying to stop it and dispatch the necromancer responsible. We’ve hand an encounter with him before and knew it would take all our combined skills to stand a chance of taking him down. So we have made it as far as the obsidian pyramids that is the centre of the ritual to find hundreds of cultists chanting in…

  • Reaver Titan

    Weekly Waffle #223

No gaming for me this weeks weekly waffle with no D&D session and me missing game night because of work commitments. Although on a positive note I shouldn’t have any evening work now for a while so should be ok for next week and I might feel a little bit more alive and wanting to get some painting done. Instead of sitting there and slipping into a mild vegetative state. On the D&D front Anna our DM has been producing some resources to go on the World Anvil web site for other DM’s to use. I’ve been working on producing some maps and floor plans to support the creations she…

  • Weekly Waffle #221

I’ve had something of a revelation for this weekly waffle, well revelation is a bit strong but as I’ve been off work this week I’ve realised just how much work I do for the waffle each week on the commute. That couple of hours a day sat on the train gets a lot of things in order for the weekend and not having that time has meant that I’ve been all at the last minute getting this ready.  But I’ve got it done and I’d rather be last minute than have spent all week at work. Gaming this week has consisted of a D&D session last Sunday which has been…

  • Weekly Waffle #217

I have to say that I am in full on envy mode for this week’s weekly waffle, looking at all the pictures that are coming out of Adepticon. With more from google showing me what we got up to last year. From the time in Chicago before the event and what has now become a tradition of visiting Giordano’s for a deep pan pizza to watching Al get the hottest sauce he can on his chicken wings, whilst the rest of us think ranch is hot. Which is normal when you come from a damp grey cotton town. Then there is the event itself which for anyone how has never…

  • Weekly Waffle #215

For this weeks weekly waffle there was no gaming of any sort this week as we as we had to cancel our D&D session on Sunday. But it’s not all bad news as the extra time allowed me to finish the albatross around my neck that the warboss was becoming. There are still a couple of little bits that I’m not a hundred percent happy with but it’s intended as a gaming piece, if I ever start playing 40K again so it needed finishing. Overall I like how it turned out and it’s also a fantastic model.             Just to give this guy some scale this his him along side…

  • Weekly Waffle #214

Another slow week this week which seems to be coming a bit of habit so we have short weekly waffle. I’m hoping it’s the quite before the storm and I’m suddenly going to fall into a super productive period where I get loads and loads of things finished. Alas that is still in the future and won’t save me with content for this week. No game night this week but we did have a very interesting D&D session on Sunday and I took the opportunity to change out my character. Gone is the Halfling monk and in is the Dwarven bard. Now I was hoping for a nice introduction to…
