Weekly Waffle #380 – The Sweet Spot Between Hobby and Life

Weekly Waffle #380 – The Sweet Spot Between Hobby and Life 31st May 2025 I’ve had another really busy week at work that has once again ruined my hobby time. So I’m back into waffle mode and picking a to pick that is close to my heart. So get yourself a brew, nudge the cat off your lap, and let’s have a proper chat about a peculiar little shift over the last few years in the tabletop scene. Weekly Waffle #361 – Retrospective

Weekly Waffle #361 – Retrospective 4th January 2025 For this week’s Weekly Waffle I’m starting by having a bit of a look back on last year. Then I’ll lay out what I have planned for the rest of the year. I’m going to start by summing up last year as a hobby success. I didn’t even move for game night but I did get a bit of hobby done. On the D&D front I managed to survive and I must have been quite drunk the week before as I didn’t remember that I had been stabilised so after spending time with bag full of soil over my head, it’s a long story. They managed to heal me before we got stuck into another big fight were the guy who’s…

  • Death Watch Kill Team

    Weekly Waffle #97

No game night for this week’s weekly waffle so in theory I’ve had some more time to get some painting in. In reality that’s not turned out quite how I thought it would. Whilst I’ve been working on finishing off my Deathwatch I’ve also started watching Falling Skys on Netflix so I haven’t got as much painting done as I planned. But I have finished watching season one and cracking on with season two at the moment. On the hobby front I’ve decided to go with a technical type of base for the Deathwatch and green stuffed up some bases for them. It was a struggle to try and think…
