    To start off this week’s weekly waffle I have two game updates for you. Me and Al got together on Saturday for a re-match between his Union and my Butchers. To be honest from my point of view I wish we hadn’t bothered because I got an absolute tubing. The score ended up being 12 – 2 to the Union. For me it went wrong from the kick-off with getting players in the wrong position, then the dice gods deserted me and I never recovered. At one point I was rolling seven dice needing two three up’s, and got none. On the positive side of things it was a win…

    There was no game night on Tuesday for this week’s weekly waffle but me and Al did manage to finish off our Guild Ball on Sunday with the Butchers running out winners with a score of 12 to 8. It was a really fun game and showed that we really need the practice before we turn up Vengeance next month. I think that Al suffered from using the Union or at least his selection of players that didn’t seem to work well as a team. Whilst I opted to go with the Butchers to try and keep things simple.     I think we’re in for another waffle heavy weekly waffle again this week. I don’t know what it is but I’m really struggling to find any motivation to actually get anything done at the moment. Don’t get me wrong I get myself all set up to do some painting, I know what I want to get done, I’ve got a few tunes on and I’m feeling good but I just can’t seem to move on from there.     Weekly Waffle #29

    Gaming for this week’s weekly waffle actually started on Sunday morning with a five way game of X-Wing. Apparently I must have done something wrong because I had to start in the middle of the table with everyone gunning for me. It was a fifty point game so I went with a YT-2400, there were three Fire Sprays and one Decimator. My tactic was to stay out of the way and let the others beat themselves up, then sweep in for the kill, and for a change it worked.     No game night for this week’s weekly waffle so I’ve not had chance to lose another game of Guild Ball. But I have had chance to get some work done on my Butchers. There are quite a few examples of nice Butchers teams out there so fining inspiration for these was easy. I’ve stuck with standard colours that appear in the art work and unlike the Morticians these are colours that I feel quite happy painting so I’ve been finding it much more enjoyable to paint these.
