Weekly Waffle # 389 – Block Perch
Weekly Waffle # 389 – Block Perch 9th August 2025 This week for the Weekly Waffle I have a couple of updates for you. One I have pictures for and the other is all about the pictures that I already have on the site. So it’s been a busy week even if there isn’t a lot to show for it in terms of this update. So I’m going to start off with the work I’ve been doing in the background. When I switched hosting providers last year I started to put more effort into making the posts easier to find on the internet. The art of Search Engine Optimisation, or…
Weekly Waffle # 388 – Falcon Fulled Fury
A first look at the Falconers Guild Captain for Guild Ball.
Weekly Waffle # 387 – Retrospective Rides
Weekly Waffle # 387 – Retrospective Rides 26th July 2025 For this week’s Weekly Waffle I have spent some time tidying up some previous builds. Not the most interesting of things to do but it’s something that needed doing. It’s also a reminder that in most instances a miniature is never actually finished. You can always come back to it at some point in the future if you want. Granted that most of us never will, even when we may have had that intention at the time of painting. In this case I always knew I needed to revisit these because I hadn’t actually finished them. But it is something…
Weekly Waffle # 386 – The Full Cowabunga
Weekly Waffle # 386 – The Full Cowabunga 19th July 2025 For this week’s Weekly Waffle I have finally got round to finishing my long term Ork project. Or should that just be it’s taken me a long term to complete my Ork project. After all it’s not like I’ve painted up a full six thousand point from scratch. In fact at the rate I’m currently painting I wouldn’t be finished before the heat death of the universe. But it is finished so I’m going to share it with you, and I also have a small update on the paintRack app that talked about last week. In fact I’m going…
Weekly Waffle # 385 – Last Boy
Weekly Waffle # 385 – Last Boy 12th July 2025 For this week’s Weekly Waffle I have a combination of technical waffle and hobby update. There was no update last week because I had a week off work with the wife and spent the time relaxing. A mix of sunny and rainy days so we made the most of the sunny days with day trips. And the relaxed with a couple of box sets on the rainy days. All very nice and helped to recharge the batteries a little. Then it was back in to manic week at work. I do have some hobby updates for you a little later…
Weekly Waffle # 384 – Steezy
Weekly Waffle # 384 – Steezy 28th June 2025 For this week’s Weekly Waffle my hobby update is basically going to be a variation on last week. Still really busy at work so limited hobby time during the week. Although I do have a week off planned for the first week in July. Me and the wife are going to do some serious relaxing. Not sure if I will get any hobby time in but there won’t be a Weekly Waffle next week. All back to me not doing updates when I have time off with the wife. You’ve got to get your priorities right. So before I get onto…
Weekly Waffle # 383 – Out of context
Weekly Waffle # 383 – Out of context 21st June 2025 For this week’s Weekly Waffle I have stuck with the principle I established a couple of weeks ago of giving you part of a larger project. Work is still keeping me really busy with lots of travel so hobby time has become an even more precious commodity. It’s something I’ve talked about quite a lot lately but it’s taught me a few lessons that I think are worth sharing. We all have times in our hobby journey where hobby time is limited for a whole host of reasons. Mine at the moment is work but it could just as…
Weekly Waffle #382 – Back to Bases
Weekly Waffle #382 – Back to Bases 14th June 2025 For this week’s Weekly Waffle, I have gone back to bases because I have a few vehicles that have been finished for quite some time but that have never been based. Mainly because the style of base I wanted to do was very time consuming and I just didn’t have the time or to be honest the inclination to build them. But because I’ve been juggling my hobby time lately, I thought that changing up the style of the base would allow me to actually crack on and get them built. So what hobby time I have had this week…
