Weekly News Roundup

Weekly Roundup for the 25th September.

I thought I’d try something a bit different this week and put some links in to things I’ve found whilst purposing the net this week. A few things that caught my eye that I thought you might like to take a look at. I’m also thinking of trying to make this a semi regular thing so if there is anything you would like to share with the community why not leave it in the comments below.

Dystopian Wars drilling rig shown off on Beasts of War.

This one caught my eye because me and Al were talking on Tuesday about running some Dystopian Wars games using the fleet action rules. Mainly because Pete has completely lost his mojo for gaming at the moment but he is a big fan of Dystopian Wars. Anyway that aside this looks like a nice bit of scenery for using in your games.

LIGHT SIDE ELDAR SPIDERS

I’ve been liking what Wargame Exclusive have been doing for some time and even picked up one of their Tau models just because I thought it would be fun to paint. Here they have some alternatives to Eldar Warp Spiders. They are all very nice models but it is the Exarch that really stands out for me.

Blood and skulls

This one popped up in my Twitter feed and I though it was really worth sharing with you. I’m into my bases and this as given me some ideas for new things to try. I might even pick up the parts and have a go at recreating this base. No words on the link but lots of pictures that take you through the making of this base.

Fantasy medieval football

guildball game mat frostgrave snow 1

For any of you who have been visiting the site for a while you may have guessed that I’m a bit of a fan of Guild Ball. Here we have nine mates from Deep Cut Studio all conveniently marked out to allow your guilds to beat seven bells out of each other. I’ve not seen one of these in person but do know that Deep Cut do very nice mats so these should be perfect for your games. I’m really liking the Frost Grave one.

Edición Inglés Caja de Juego Escuadrón Suicida más Harley Quinn Bombshell

I’m something of a fan of Knight Models although I’ve not really got into the Batman Game. Anyway they have a new release out on what looks like pre-order. Basing this on the fact the site says it will ship in 30 days. Some very nice looking minis in there and loving the Harley Quinn Bombshell although I don’t think I’ll be picking up the game just get the mini.

Leman Russ

News of another Forge World release in their Primarch range with the first look at Leman Russ. I think he looks really nice and with some news that the next box set from GW will be a Prospero Burns game the timing seems good too.
